A woman has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries following a crash near Mold, in Flintshire, earlier today (Wednesday). North Wales Police received a report of a collision between a BMW and a bus on the A5119 in Sychdyn, which happened shortly before 7.30am.
Emergency services were called to the scene, including two air ambulances, and the driver of the BMW was airlifted to hospital in Aintree. Sergeant Stephen Richards of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses.
He said: “I’m urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision, and who is yet to speak to us, or anybody who was travelling in the area and who may have dash cam footage that could assist the investigation, to contact us immediately. The road will remain closed for a considerable period of time so I’d like to thank motorists and the local community in advance for their patience and understanding.”

“One patient was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital by road, and a second patient was taken to Aintree Hospital via air”. The road was still closed at around midday while accident investigation work was carried out.
