Even as a certain other massive space game looms on the horizon, No Man's Sky continues to release game-changing updates. No Man's Sky Echoes adds a truly mind-boggling amount of new stuff, including robotic aliens known as the Autophage, revamped space combat, and pirate capital ships.

The Autophage are the center of the update's narrative content. You can join minds with NPC Priest Entity Nada to investigate and befriend the mysterious robots. As you do, you'll build out a new Volaic Staff multitool, combining multiple components together. You can find hidden Autophage monuments and settlements across worlds. As you complete missions with the Autophage, you will gain reputation and win honorary titles, as well as robotic customization parts to change your avatar.

Pirates now have capital ships, which you can attack or raid. You can even fly directly into their superstructure, Star Wars style. Capital ships generally, no matter which faction they belong to, can be reduced to stardust. A new Combat HUD will show the hull integrity of large ships. Along with the additional enemies, starship combat has been revamped to allow power allocation. Divert your ship's energy to shields, engines, or weapons to blast away foes or get away from difficult battles.

You can also undertake the Voyagers expedition, which will task you with cataloging the universe's wonders. Participation will grant you a variety of exclusive rewards including Autophage replica parts, a poster set, an electrified jetpack trail, and a HoverDroid companion.

You can find the patch's full details below and on the official No Man's Sky site.
